#PrkBalingian: RUMOURS OF CRISIS AFOOT IN BALINGIAN

This writer has caught wind of turbulence happening within the Parti Keadilan Rakyat Sarawak's ranks, and all this is caused by gross mismanagement issues which have affected their groundwork for N51 Balingian by-election. Specifically, we can divide this into two segments:

1) How party ranks are dissatisfied with this by-election's machinery leadership and direction

Recently, a high ranking personnel within the party have been in touch with this writer to air out all the toxic fumes she had had to endure while working during the by-election. No, this writer is not referring to the alleged hazardous and radioactive waste generated by the nearby aluminum smelter in Balingian (which is by the way, just another scare tactic brought to you by Pakatan Rakyat), but she was talking about the working environment within the PKR circles.

Apparently some of the workers in the party, especially those from Miri, Bintulu and Sabah who were flown all the way here are fuming because of how this machinery is being financially handled. The leadership have been very stringent with money to the point that the machinery has not been able to perform optimally. It finally dawned on most of the PKR machinery in Balingian that their candidate has been reduced to a puppet figure, and someone else is calling all the shots. To make matters worse, when the matter is brought up with their head office, it was claimed that they were given enough allocation to compete with Barisan Nasional here on an even keel. So, what is happening here?

2) PR Failure

This comment was taken from Abdul Jalil Bujang's Facebook page. Apparently they have received complaints from the constituents that most of the machinery (who are imported from various parts of Malaysia, and not locals mind you) have not been friendly with the locals. While this is a common occurrence when the machinery does not have a public relations strategy and also not familiar with the customs of the populace, this also shows the lack of leadership acumen that Abdul Jalil possesses. He should have better control of the groundwork being done in his own campaign, and yet he only found out about this on his Facebook page. Even if the page is monitored by someone else from West Malaysia, it's no excuse.

Thus far the writer has been able to unravel problems of co-ordination, insubordination and insolence within the N51 Balingian PKR machinery. This writer sincerely hopes that they can get their act together and at least try to give the Barisan Nasional candidate a good fight.
