#PrkBalingian: PKR SARAWAK APPLAUDS DPM'S ACTIONS

KUCHING: Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak applauds the timely allocation made by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin to construct SMK Balingian and SK Kampung Telian.

PKR leader Baru Bian has said that the announcement will hopefully extend beyond Balingian during the by-election, and that continuous development will continue state-wide.

Muhyiddin, who is also Education Minister made the announcement to spend RM79 million to build the two schools at two separate events in Balingian, yesterday.

Part of the allocation, worth RM60 million has been approved to build a secondary school with 24 classrooms, which in turn will be able to fit up to 800 students in the small district of Balingian to lessen the burden imposed to parents who until now, have to send their children to boarding schools in nearby Mukah.

The rest of the allocation, which totals RM19 million will be used to build SK Kampung Telian which comprises 12 classrooms and other amenities.
