Instead of a full surau as they had expected, only local members of their party machinery and volunteers were at the surau to perform Maghrib and Isyak prayers.
To make matters worse, some committee members of the surau left in a huff in between both prayer sessions in a show of protest for using their place of worship to conduct campaign events without asking the committee for permission earlier on.
In another opportunistic move for PKR, they are taking advantage of a majlis kenduri kahwin (wedding ceremony) in a nearby village tonight to host their nightly political rally.
