#PrkBalingian: ‘Outsiders who disturb the peace should stay away’

MUKAH: Outsiders who want to disturb the peace in Sarawak should not come to the state.
Tourism Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg said Sarawakians are peace-loving people from different communities who enjoy harmonious relationships.
“That is why our new Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Adenan Satem said we will reject those who want to disturb our peace.
“We support his stand on this matter,” he told a meet-the-people session at Kampung Seberang Mukah yesterday, where Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was guest of honour.
On Tuesday (March 25), three Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) leaders – Batu Member of Parliament Tian Chua, secretary-general Datuk Saifuddin Nasution Ismail and strategic director Rafizi Ramli – were barred from entering the state.
However de-facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was allowed to enter.
Abang Johari said Sarawakians have the ability to work together like members of one family.
“This state is the place where the 1Malaysia spirit is really practised,” he said.
On the Balingian by-election, he said he is confident Barisan Nasional (BN) will win with a bigger majority than in the 2011 state election.
“Under BN, Balingian will continue to enjoy many development projects. We in BN have a very good track record,” he said.
